Jim Corbett is the first national park of India, located in Uttarakhand, the Himalayan North region of India. The park is open for Indian and Foreign tourists in the Mid-of-September to Mid-of-June.

Regions of Jim Corbett:

Dhikala: It is the popular destination amongst the tourist of the Corbett national park. It is located near the Dun Valley and its view can be enjoyed through the watchover located nearby.

Bijrani: In the times of Britishers, this place was famous for hunting. Compared to Dhikala, it is drier and also has diverse vegetation.

Jhirna: This zone of Jim Corbett is at 16 km distance from Ramnagar and is considered the safest region for safari. Opened for the whole year, this zone is known for its bamboo vegetation and fantastic bird watching.

Durga Devi: In this hilly region of Corbett park, tourists get the chance of sighting leopards and elephants. Also, it is a region with wooden vegetation and variety of bird species.

For tiger sighting, a one day safari has to be planned as there are not many tigers in the park. To see a tiger, one has to stay at Dhikala rest house and leave for safari early morning as Dhikala is the core area of jungle.

Time To Tour Jim Corbett !

The best time to tour Jim Corbett is between Novembers to March. The park has three distinct seasons which is Winters from November to February, Summer from March to June, and rest of the time it rains.

The Dhikala and Bijrani zones are closed from June to November while Jhirna and Durga Devi are opened for the entire year.

There are four airports nearby Jim Corbett national park: Delhi, Chandigarh, Dehradun, and Lucknow. The nearest (domestic) airport from the park is at Phoolbagh, Pantnagar which is 50 km away.

Ramnagar Railway Station is 10KM away from Jim Corbett and this connected to major cities.

Nearest Bus Stand:

You can go from ISBT Anand Vihar Bus Terminal to Ramnagar. There is regular bus service from ISBT Delhi to Ramnagar which is the nearest bus stand to the Corbett Park.
